A. Enforcement: It shall be the duty of the police department of the city to enforce the provisions of this chapter and any officer observing a violation of the provisions of this chapter shall leave upon such vehicle, a notice that the vehicle has been parked in violation of the provisions of this chapter. The said citation shall bear the date and hour of leaving the same upon the vehicle and the citation shall instruct the owner or operator of the vehicle to pay to the city clerk at 55 West Idaho Street, Weiser, Idaho, city hall, the amount of the fine within five (5) days from the date of the citation.
B. Failure To Pay Fine: Failure to pay a fine as required by this chapter shall be an infraction. A uniform citation for parking violation and failure to pay shall be filed in the magistrate division of the district court and served upon the registered owner of the offending vehicle.
C. Filing Of Citation: The notice above mentioned shall be made and numbered in triplicate and it shall be the duty of the police officer to file one copy of such notice with the police department and one copy of such notice with the proper magistrate of the city. It shall be the duty of the chief of police to file a complaint before the proper magistrate against all persons who do not report within the time required by said notice. (Ord. 1128, 3-11-2002)
