6-2-16: WHEN LAWFUL TO GO ON PREMISES:
In the enforcement of any provisions of this chapter, any police officer or public officer is authorized to enter the premises of any person to take possession of a licensed or unlicensed dog, when said dogs are running at large, vicious, fierce or dangerous to other people, or when in fresh pursuit of such dog, at the time the dog goes onto private property.
It is unlawful for any person keeping or harboring a dog for which a license is required by this chapter to fail or refuse to exhibit the license or tag upon demand by the police officer or other designated city official. (Ord. 1190, 5-8-2006)
