A. New personnel will not be permitted to enter a fire building as a nozzleman or as a safety person until he has been trained in the use of breathing apparatus, hoses, nozzles and fireground procedures. This training will be offered by the department to the personnel after he becomes a member.
B. Under no circumstances shall a member be allowed to drive or operate a piece of fire apparatus until he or she is trained and tested on his or her performance with the apparatus. Members will be allowed to drive and operate the equipment on drill nights. (1987 Code)
