All firefighters shall be trained to handle any and all of the fire apparatus provided and also to act in any desired capacity in handling first aid apparatus, hose and pumping engines, ladders, air packs or do salvage work. They shall do everything within their power to get the fire under control, to remain at their posts of duty unless excused by the commanding officer and to return to the fire station with the apparatus from fires, alarms and drills.
