1-17-1: PURPOSE:
   A.   The purpose of this chapter is to provide broad guidelines to officers (elected and appointed board and commission members) and employees (including part time employees) of the village for incurring and reimbursing expenses connected with village business in accordance with applicable regulations and sound business practices. This chapter governs expenses incurred during village travel, as well as expenses incurred locally in connection with village business. Wilful violation or abuse of this chapter, including falsifying expense reports to reflect costs not actually incurred, will result in adverse action being taken pursuant to village policies, rules, ordinances, and applicable state and federal laws. Nothing in this chapter shall preclude the village of Wayne from pursuing all available remedies. (Ord. 16-17, 12-20-2016)
