A. The provisions of this chapter shall be in addition to and shall not replace or otherwise abrogate any existing state or federal law or village ordinance that relates to the seizure and/or impoundment of motor vehicles, including a seizure pursuant to article 36 of the Illinois criminal code 1 . Any administrative fee or cost provided herein shall be in addition to: 1) any and all penalties and fees that may be assessed or imposed by a court for violation of any criminal offense or local ordinance violation offense and 2) any towing or storage fees, or both, charged by any towing company.
B. Any and all fees incurred for towing and/or storage of a motor vehicle impounded under this chapter shall be those approved by the chief of police for all towing companies authorized to tow for the village. (Ord. 13-13, 7-2-2013)
