The owner (or lessee) of a motor vehicle is subject to a penalty of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per automated traffic law violation. In the event that such penalty is not paid within fourteen (14) days after service of a final determination of liability, an additional one hundred dollar ($100.00) late payment penalty shall be imposed. A penalty shall not apply if the driver of the motor vehicle received a uniform traffic citation from a police officer at the time of the violation. The village may not charge court costs or hearing fees to persons found liable after exercising their right to appear and contest the violation at an administrative hearing.
