6-2-2-2: GENERAL:
   A.   Signs Required: The chief of police shall cause signs to be posted in all areas where parking is limited or prohibited indicating such limitations or prohibitions.
   B.   Night Parking On Streets: No person shall park a vehicle on any roadway between the hours of two o'clock (2:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. on any date, except physicians on emergency calls or as authorized by the chief of police or, in his absence, the on duty police supervisor, in exercise of his sound discretion.
   C.   Parking For Purposes Of Sale: It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle upon any roadway from which merchandise is peddled.
   D.   Duties When Leaving Vehicle Unattended: No person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle shall permit it to stand unattended without first stopping the engine and removing the ignition key, and when standing upon any perceptible grade, without effectively setting the brake and turning the front wheels to the curb or side of the roadway.
   E.   Unauthorized Parking On Private Property: It shall be unlawful for any person in charge of or operating a motor vehicle to cause such vehicle to be parked on private property without the consent of the owner of such property.
   F.   Manner Of Parking:
      1.   No vehicle shall be parked with the left side of such vehicle next to the curb or shoulder, unless the roadway is designated as a one-way street and the vehicle faced in the direction of the traffic flow, and it shall be unlawful to stand or park any vehicle in a street other than parallel with the curb or roadway shoulder and with the two (2) right wheels of the vehicle within twelve inches (12") of the established curb line or edge of the roadway shoulder, except that upon those streets that have been marked for angle parking, vehicles shall be parked at the angle to the curb or shoulder indicated by such marks.
      2.   No vehicle shall be parked on any lines or markings designating parking spaces or in such a position so that the vehicle is not entirely within the area designated by lines or markings.
   G.   Officers Authorized To Remove Vehicles:
      1.   Any police officer is hereby authorized to remove or cause to be removed to a place of safety any unattended vehicle illegally left standing upon any roadway or bridge, in such a position or under such circumstances as to obstruct the normal movement of traffic.
      2.   Any police officer is hereby authorized to remove or cause to be removed to a garage designated by the chief of police or other place of safety any vehicle found upon a roadway when:
         a.   Report has been made that such vehicle has been stolen or taken without the consent of its owner;
         b.   The person or persons in charge of such vehicle are unable to provide for its custody or removal; or
         c.   When the person driving or in control of such vehicle is arrested for an alleged offense for which the officer is required by law to take the person arrested before a magistrate without unnecessary delay.
   H.   Removal Of Tire Markings: When a tire, or tires, of a motor vehicle have been marked by a police officer for the purpose of determining the length of time said motor vehicle has been parked in a designated parking space, it shall be unlawful for any person to remove said markings.
