No garage sale shall be conducted without a permit having first been issued by the Village Clerk upon application therefor for each day of a sale. One permit may be issued covering the maximum three (3) day sale period. If members of more than one residence join in a garage sale, one permit shall be secured for each location from which the sale is conducted. No more than three (3) permits for garage sales shall be issued by the Village Clerk for any one sale day. The Village Clerk shall keep a record of all permits issued, the location and date(s) of each sale and the name of the applicant. The Corporate Authorities may, by ordinance, prescribe a fee for the issuance of any permit required under this section. (Ord. 89-09, 5-2-1989)
