(A) All office holders, department heads and employees of the county shall cooperate with and give active support to the County Commissioners and the Director of Emergency Management in all emergency management functions and emergency response operations and, shall comply with all orders of the Commissioners and the Director of Emergency Management issued pursuant to this chapter.
(B) All office holders and department heads of the county shall develop, or cause to be developed, continuity of government (COG) (line of succession to department head, authorities of successors and protection of vital records) and continuity of operations (COOP) (contingency plan for maintaining operations when primary office location or facility is damaged or otherwise unusable) plans and supporting procedures to ensure the effective continued operation of the office and county government in disaster emergencies. The office holder or department head and the Director of Emergency Management shall review all such plans and procedures at least annually.
(C) Office holders and department heads of county departments assigned responsibilities as emergency support function coordinating agencies or as supporting agencies under the county’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan shall comply with the requirements detailed in § 33.23(C) of this chapter.
