Every garage building or portion of a main building used for garage purposes shall be so equipped that the doors when open or being opened will not project beyond any lot line of the lot on which such building is located, and when said doors open to an alley the wall or portion thereof containing said doors shall be at least six feet from the line forming the common boundary between said lot and the alley.
