The Sheriff of the county, is authorized, and is hereby directed, to collect the following fees from registering sexual and/or violent offenders:
(A) An annual registration fee in the amount of $50 to be collected from the registering offender at or within ten calendar days of registration with the local law enforcement authority, and a renewal registration fee collectable in said amount annually thereafter within ten calendar days of the anniversary of the registering offender first or prior registration;
(B) The original annual registration fee and any renewal registration fee payable by a registering offender pursuant to division (A) above may be paid in installments over a period of time not to exceed six months after the original due date. Such deferred payments shall not extend the renewal date for any subsequently due renewal registration fee;
(C) A fee in the sum of $5 shall be collected at the time each registered offender changes his or her address and registers such change with the local law enforcement authority; and
(D) Moneys received by the Sheriff from such registration and change of address fees shall be remitted to the Auditor of the county and there processed by said Auditor in accordance with the requirements of I.C. 36-2-13-5.6(f).
