The schedule of fees required by this chapter shall be as follows: all fees shall be payable to “Wayne County Building Commission”.
Building permits | Minimum permit fee: $35 |
Accessory structures | New residential garages, carports, decks, porches, sheds and pole barns: $0.05 per square foot (minimum: $35) |
Commercial, institutional or industrial | $2 per $1,000 of actual cost (minimum: $100) |
Manufactured homes | $0.06 per square foot |
Mobile homes | Require an improvement location permit, electrical permit and plumbing permit only. A building permit will not be issued |
New one- and two-family dwellings | $0.07 per sq. ft. (This includes modular homes and relocation of existing homes.) Note: square footage is based on the outside dimensions of the house including the attached garage, second story and finished or partially finished basement areas |
Residential remodeling | $2 per $1,000 of actual cost (minimum: $35) |
Residential room additions | $0.06 per square foot (minimum: $35) |
Certificate of occupancy | $35 |
Electrical permit | $35 |
Extension of permit-one time | No charge |
Plan review | $35 |
Plumbing permit | $35 |
Re-inspection | $35 |
Renewal of permit | 1/2 original fee |
Swimming pool permit | $35 |
Work started without a permit | Permit fee doubled |
