§ 90.06 RABIES CONTROL.
   (A)   (1)   Any impounded dog which has bitten a person shall be securely quarantined at the direction of the County Health Department for a period of ten days and shall not be released from such quarantine, except by permission of the County Health Department.
      (2)   At the discretion of the County Health Department, such quarantine may be at the owner’s residence or, at the owner’s option and expense, at the Animal Welfare Shelter or in a veterinary hospital of his or her choice.
   (B)   Any impounded dog which is suspected of being rabid or appears to be suffering from a disease shall not be released to the owner without the consent of a licensed veterinarian.
   (C)   If any animal which has bitten a person dies during the ten-day quarantine, the County Health Department shall be notified immediately.
