§ 90.05 REDEMPTION OF IMPOUNDED DOGS.
   (A)   The owner shall be entitled to resume possession of any impounded dog upon compliance with existing state laws and regulation and the payment of all costs and charges incurred by the Animal Welfare Shelter for the impounding, notice and keeping of such dogs. A charge of $2 shall be made for impounding the dog, a charge of $2 for giving notice and a charge of $2 per day shall be made for keeping the dog. All fees and moneys collected as set forth in this chapter are to be retained by the Animal Welfare Shelter.
   (B)   Any dog impounded under the provisions of this chapter and not reclaimed by its owner within five days may be disposed of in accordance with the laws and regulations of the state or placed in the custody of some person deemed to be a responsible and suitable owner or who will agree to comply with the provisions of this chapter; provided, if the dog is one whose custody is determined by state law, such law will be complied with.
