For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BOARD. The Board of Commissioners of Wayne County, Indiana.
EMPLOYEES. All personnel gainfully employed and who occupy working space in either the County Court House or county administration building.
PARK or PARKING. The standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading.
PARKING DECAL. Small round decal to be placed in lower right side of rear window to authorize parking.
ROAD. Any road designated as part of the county road system and confined to the boundaries of the county.
ROADWAY. The portion of a road improved, designed or ordinarily used for vehicular travel.
SHERIFF. Every officer of the County Sheriff’s Department or any officer authorized to direct or regulate traffic or to make arrests for violations of traffic regulations.
SUPERINTENDENT. Superintendent of the County Department of Public Buildings.
VEHICLE. Every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a road, excepting devices, moved by human power.
