§ 32.63 DISCIPLINE.
Any person who is an auxiliary police officer and finds themselves a party of interest in a criminal investigation, or charged with a felony, misdemeanor, or any type of traffic citation, shall notify the Chief of Police by phone within 24 hours, then again in writing within five days of the charges. The auxiliary police officer must then notify the Chief of Police as soon as possible of the outcome of the charges or incident. Any auxiliary police officer who receives a temporary order of protection, shall notify the Chief of Police immediately. Failure to comply with any rule or directive from the Chief of Police may result in disciplinary action. The Chief of Police may suspend any member of the auxiliary police unit as necessary. Any serious violations placed against the auxiliary police officer may and will cause immediate removal of that person from the unit. Any auxiliary police officer placed on suspension or is terminated from the unit must turn in all issued equipment and identification at that time, regardless of whether the suspension is temporary or not.
