§ 32.56 POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   Auxiliary police officers shall not supplement members of the regular Police Department of the village in the performance of their assigned and normal duties except as provided in this section.
   (B)   Auxiliary police officers shall not have powers of arrest and only be assigned to perform the following duties:
      (1)   To aid or direct traffic within the boundaries of the village;
      (2)   To aid in the control of natural or human-made disasters;
      (3)   To aid, as directed by the Chief of Police; and
      (4)   In no event shall auxiliary police officers be conservators of the peace nor shall they have any of the powers of conservators of the peace as specified in 70 ILCS 1205/4-7.
