§ 32.38 DUTIES.
   (A)   The Chief of Police and all other members of the Police Department shall perform all duties prescribed by the Board of Trustees for the preservation of the public peace and shall enforce all the laws of the village, the state, and the country. The Chief of Police shall be responsible for the performance of the Police Department and all persons who are members of the Department shall serve subject to the orders of the Chief of Police.
   (B)   The Chief of Police shall make or prescribe such rules and regulations for the conduct and guidance of the members of the Police Department as he or she shall deem advisable, and such rules, when approved by the Board of Trustees, shall be binding on such members.
