The Village Clerk shall execute a bond to the President and Board of Trustees of the village in the sum of $200, with two or more securities, to be approved by the President and Board of Trustees, that he or she will well and truly perform his or her duties as Clerk of the village and comply with the ordinances and resolutions passed, or what may be passed, in relation to his or her official duties, take and subscribe the oath of office as prescribed in the ordinances; which bond, together with the oath or affirmation, shall be placed in the custody of the President of the Village Board.
