(A) (1) All officers of said village, whether elected or appointed, shall, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation:
“I do solemnly swear or affirm that I will support the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of ______, according to the best of my ability, so help me God.”
(2) Which oath or affirmation shall be filed in the office of the Clerk.
(B) The Village Clerk shall administer oaths and affirmations upon all lawful occasions.
