The village expressly stipulates with all customers and other persons who may be affected by the discontinuance of service that it will neither ensure nor be responsible or liable in any manner for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, by any reason of any fire or any other cause and all water and gas service furnished shall also be conditioned upon acts of God, inevitable accidents, fire, strikes, riots, or other causes.
