Whenever mains, pipes, service connections, or other facilities of the water or gas system are taken up, shut off, or interfered with by reason of any village street improvement, the village will endeavor to maintain service so far as is reasonably possible but will not be directly or indirectly liable for any interruption, poor pressure, or damage of any kind either to the adjacent customers or to other customers affected thereby.
