1228.02   JURISDICTION AND POWERS.
   The Commission is responsible for the following key duties:
   (a)   Formulation of the Zoning Code and Amendments. Formulation of the Zoning Code, review of amendments to the Zoning Code, holding public hearings, and reporting its findings and recommendations concerning the Zoning Code or amendments to the City Council.
   (b)   Development Review. Review of applications for site plan approval in accordance with Chapter 1224 (this includes Planned Residential District (PRD) and Planned Unit Development (PUD) reviews, special land use reviews and holding any required public hearings).
   (c)   Master Plan. The Commission formulates, adopts, and ensures review at least every five-years to the Master Plan for land use to guide the future development of Wayne, in accordance with the Michigan Planning Enabling Act (PA 33 of 2008), as amended.
   (d)   Annual Report on Operations. The Commission must annually prepare and submit a report for City Council on the status of the Zoning Code, the Master Plan, and all relevant planning and zoning matters, including recommendations as to the enactment of amendments to the Zoning Code.
