1414.02 ADOPTION OF MICHIGAN PLUMBING CODE; PURPOSES; FILE COPIES; CONFLICTS.
   (a)   That certain document, five copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk for public use and inspection, being marked and designated as the current Michigan Plumbing Code, is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the City for regulating and providing for the inspection of installations, alterations, maintenance and re-inspections of plumbing, drainage and water supply systems in all structures and premises in the City and for the practical safeguarding of persons, buildings and their contents from hazard arising from the installation, alteration and maintenance of plumbing, drainage and water supply systems. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of such Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth in this chapter, except as may be amended in this chapter.
   (b)   In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of the current Michigan Plumbing Code, as adopted in subsection (a) hereof, and any other provision of this chapter or any other local ordinance, resolution, rule or regulation, the local provision shall control. In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of the current Michigan Plumbing Code, as adopted in subsection (a) hereof, and any State law, rule or regulation, the stricter standard shall control.
