The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the following:
(a) The installation of radio receiving sets and equipment, except that the installation of convenience outlets for power to supply such radio set shall be governed by the provisions of this chapter;
(b) The installation, alteration or repair of equipment for the operation of signals or the transmission of intelligence where such work is an integral part of the communication system owned and operated by a telephone or telegraph company in rendering its duly authorized service as such company, where such company is subject to the jurisdiction of the Michigan Public Service Commission; and
(c) The installation, alteration or repair of electric wiring for the generation and primary distribution of electric current, or for the secondary distribution system, up to and including the meters, where such work is an integral part of the system owned by an electric light and power company in rendering its authorized service, where such company is subject to the jurisdiction of the Michigan Public Service Commission.
