1412.04 ADOPTION OF MICHIGAN ELECTRICAL CODE; PURPOSES; FILE COPIES; CONFLICTS.
   (a)   That certain document, five complete copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk for public use and inspection, being marked and designated as the State of Michigan Electrical Code, as the same may be amended from time to time, is hereby adopted as the Electrical Code of the City for regulating and providing for the inspection of the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring, electrical devices and electrical material and the practical safeguarding of persons and buildings and their contents from hazard arising from the use of electricity for light, heating, power, radio, signaling and all other purposes. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth in this chapter, except as may be amended in this chapter.

   (b)   In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of the State of Michigan Electrical Code, as adopted in subsection (a) hereof, and any other provision of this chapter or any other local ordinance, resolution, rule or regulation, the local provision shall control. In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of the State of Michigan Electrical Code, as adopted in subsection (a) hereof, and any State law, rule or regulation, the stricter standard shall control.
