Prior to the commencement of any work under this chapter, the permittee shall furnish the Department of Engineering and Building satisfactory evidence in writing that the permittee has in force, and will maintain in force and effect during the performance of the work under this chapter, public liability insurance which covers the City as an insured, to protect the City from all claims, actions, causes of action or damages on account of injury to persons or property resulting from the work done under the permit or in connection therewith. The limits of coverage of such policy shall be in amounts specified by the Director of the Department, who shall consider the nature and extent of the work to be performed and the attendant risk of harm.
