In addition to the criminal sanctions heretofore noted, upon failure of the person upon whom the notice to abate a nuisance was served, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter to abate the nuisance, the Building and Engineering Department shall proceed to abate such nuisance, in accordance with notice requirements noted herein, or in the alternative, with the notice requirements provided for in the Blight Ordinance, Chapter 1470, and Noxious Weed Ordinance, Chapter 1459. The City may, in the alternative, take criminal or abatement actions for any violation of this chapter. The City may further take abatement actions pursuant to this chapter or other ordinances referred hereto.
