416.39 WIDTH OF LOAD CARRIED ON PASSENGER

(a) A passenger-type vehicle shall not be operated on a street or highway with a load carried on the vehicle extending beyond the line of the fenders on the left side of the vehicle nor extending more than six inches beyond the line of the fenders on the right side of the vehicle.

(b) A person who violates this section is responsible for a civil infraction.
