Fees for building permits, plan reviews and building inspections are as follows:
(a) Residential Dwelling Certification.
Single family $300.00
Duplex 350.00
Apartments/motels (first two units) 350.00
Each additional unit 70.00
Temporary Certificate of Occupancy, or
Temporary Certificate of Compliance 70.00
(b) Concrete and Asphalt/Residential.
Public sidewalk, approach, private walk,
driveway, patio $ .15 per sq. ft.
(Minimum fee: $80.00)
(Maximum fee: $125.00)
Curb cuts (residential and commercial) $80.00
(c) Plan Review Fee Schedule (Based on ICC). The calculation of plan review fees shall utilize the most current publication of the ICC publication of the "Building Valuation Data Report", representing Michigan's current average square foot construction costs for each category of construction.

(d) Revised and Addendum Plans. If a substitute or revised plan or an addendum to the original plan is submitted for a building on which a permit has been requested, a charge of not less than seventy-five ($75.00) nor more than 35% of the permit fee may be added for each set of plans examined. Minor addendum plans that do not alter space or change structural requirements may be exempted from this provision.
(e) Building Permit Fees (Based on ICC). The calculation of building permit fees shall utilize the most current publication of the ICC publication of the "Building Valuation Data Report", representing Michigan's current average square foot construction costs for each category of construction.

Plus $15.00 per $1,000 over $1,000
(f) Modular Homes. The pre-manufactured unit (modular) permit fee is based on 50% of the current ICC on-site construction cost. The plan review fee shall be based on the total current ICC on-site construction cost.
(g) Roofing/Re-roofing - Commercial/Residential. The calculation of roofing/ re-roofing permit fees shall utilize the most current publication of the "Building Valuation Data Report", representing Michigan's current average square foot construction costs for each category of construction.
Valuation to $1,000 (includes two inspections) $ 80.00
Plus $15.00 per $1,000 over $1,000
(h) Demolition.
Accessory buildings (garages, sheds) $ 100.00
Single-family residences 200.00
Commercial/Industrial buildings: 200.00

(i) Work Without Permit.
Permit not obtained before work is started double fee, plus $100.00
(j) Special Inspections.
Certificate of occupancy and compliance $ 70.00

(k) Vacancy Permit. Securing vacant buildings $ 70.00
(l) Signs. See Section 210.06(e) - based on cost plus $40.00 plan review fee.
Dumpster Enclosure. See Section 210.06(e) - based on cost plus $40.00 plan review fee.
(m) Site Development: Right-of-way Permits;
Earth Moving; Excavation and/or Fill. $ 70.00
(1) Shall be based on an inspection fee of $70.00 per inspection required.
Engineering review shall be based on $100.00/hr. (Minimum fee: $170.00) for site work of less than $25,000.00 in cost;
(2) For site work of more than $25,000.00 in cost; the total fee shall be 3.5% of the proposed site work cost.
(n) Public Shows, Carnivals, Revivals, Public Assemblies
and Exhibitions.
Weekdays (Monday through Friday) $ 200.00
Overtime on Weekdays (Monday through Friday)
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 300.00
The type or number of inspectors required shall be
determined in the sole discretion of the City.
(o) Rental Dwellings and Rental Units.
Appeals filed with Construction Board of Appeals $ 150.00

(p) Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for Commercial Properties. $ 100.00
