Section 4.6.
An Election Commission is hereby created consisting of the Clerk, City Manager and the City Attorney, of which the Clerk shall be Chairman. The Commission shall have charge of all activities and duties required of it by State law and this Charter relating to the conduct of elections in the City. The compensation of election personnel shall be determined in advance by the Council. In any case where election procedure is in doubt, the Election Commission shall prescribe the procedure to be followed.
(EDITOR'S NOTE: The Election Commission is referred to as the Board of Canvassers in State statutes (M.C.L.A. 168.28, 168.30a et seq.). References throughout this Charter and these Codified Ordinances to the Election Commission shall be deemed to mean the Board of Canvassers referred to in State law.)
