(A) The weight restrictions for commercial vehicles traveling on city streets shall be four tons per axle. This restriction should apply directly to commercial vehicles not servicing a business or residence of the city. The intent of this section is to prohibit commercial vehicles that exceed the weight limit from driving on the city streets to travel through the city.
(B) Exclusions from this code would include, but are not limited to city contractors, school buses, charter buses and delivery trucks which are providing a service to residents or business owners in the city.
