§ 33.40 POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   The Park Commission shall make formal recommendations for action to the City Council.
   (B)   The Park Commissioners will be involved in planning for the development of new park areas, specific upgrading of park facilities, and to monitor and establish improvement programs for existing park facilities. The Commission will be active in the implementation of planning for playground equipment needs, building issues, and recreational uses. The Commission will assess park facility needs, conduct research, and plan for improvements. The Commission will work with developers to plan for the use of dedicated park land and open space areas in new developments. As part of the overall planning for park program implementation and park improvements, the Commissioners will research funding options for park programs, construction projects, and improvements.
