§ 153.259 SLOPES AND WALLS.
   (A)   Slope. In no case shall a maintained slope be greater than 3:1. If a slope is greater than 3:1, appropriate maintenance-free landscaping, ground cover, and/or riprap shall be required.
   (B)   Retaining walls. In cases where the use and construction of a retaining wall is required to preserve slope or provide additional developable land, such retaining wall shall be designed and constructed in such a way as to preserve a residential scale and character.
   (C)   Walls above four feet.
      (1)   All retaining walls above a height of four feet shall be tiered to allow the provision of landscaping to soften the wall.
      (2)   Walls with a height greater than four feet shall require a building permit.
