Any liquidation sale license granted shall be effective for a period of not more than forty-five days but may be renewed for a period of not more than forty-five days, provided that, proof satisfactory to the Mayor is first submitted to him, showing that the stock itemized in the original application has not been disposed of. No other such license shall be granted to the same person during the period of one year next succeeding the expiration of a previous license, or renewal of license. The Mayor shall receive from the applicant for such license, upon the granting thereof, a license fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
