(a) The Waverly Fire Department shall inspect all newly constructed commercial, public, and multi-family residential structures prior to occupancy. It is the responsibility of the owner or contractor to contact the Fire Department as to the preferred or required locations of fire lanes, hydrants, extinguishers, Fire Department connections and any other fire prevention or fire protection issues. The owner or contractor shall also provide the Fire Department ample notice regarding the date and time of the required life safety inspection.
(b) All Fire Department connections shall be a single 4" inch starts adapter with locking cap. The Fire Department shall be contacted prior to construction as to the preferred location of the connection for Fire Department access.
(c) No person shall be permitted to occupy a structure described in paragraph (a) above, until issued a certificate of occupancy by the Fire Chief.
