(a) Legal counsel shall be provided for the City, such counsel to be known as the City Law Director. Such members of the Law Director's firm as are duly sworn shall serve in the capacity of Assistant Law Director or Directors, and shall be governed by the rules, conditions, and entitlements established by ordinance of City Council.
(b) It shall be the duty of the Law Director to act as attorney and counsel for the City, to perform all services required by the Charter or laws of the State of Ohio, to attend Council meetings when necessary, and to render legal opinions to the Council and Mayor upon their request in writing.
