1107.04 STREET GRADES.
   (a)   No street centerline grade shall be less than one-half percent and shall not exceed the following with due allowances for reasonable vertical curves:

   (b)   Vertical curves shall be required when the algebraic change in street grade exceeds 1.0%. The minimum length of vertical curves shall not be less than fifty feet when the algebraic difference between grades is between 1.0% and 1.5%. If the algebraic difference between grades exceeds 1.5%, the length of vertical curve shall not be less than one hundred feet
   (c)   Pavement cross slopes shall be 3/16” per foot as a minimum and 5/16” per foot maximum, with 1/4” per foot preferred.
   (d)   The minimum slope from the back of curb to the right-of-way line should be not less than 1/2" per foot and slope toward the street, where at all practical. Instances where lesser slopes or grades away from the back of curb are required shall be reviewed with and approved by the City prior to commencing construction.
   (e)   The top of curb of proposed streets shall be built at least one foot above the 100- year Flood Elevation, as shown on current FEMA Flood Maps, unless specifically otherwise approved in writing by the City of Wauseon Code Administrator.
