557.99 PENALTY.

In any proceeding where the court determines that there has been a violation of Sections 557.01 through 557.05, the court shall award compensatory damages, and, where appropriate, punitive damages of not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) along with attorney fees and court costs.
