Section 31.
There shall be a City Clerk of the City of Waurika, who shall be appointed by and hold office at the pleasure of the City Manager. The City Clerk shall have all the powers and duties prescribed by law and by ordinance, except as may be otherwise provided in this Charter. He shall collect all revenues, fees and other moneys due the City and deposit them daily in such banks as may be designated by the Board of City Commissioners. He shall have custody of and be responsible for all books, records, maps and other documents and papers belonging to the City where the custody is not given by law to some other officer or person. He shall also perform all duties that may be required of him by ordinances of the City enacted after the adoption of this Charter. Before entering upon his duties, he shall give to the City such surety company bond as may be required by the Board of City Commissioners, conditioned that he will faithfully perform his duties and account for all money and other property of the City for which he is chargeable.
