A. The following area within the corporate limits of the City shall embrace and constitute the "fire limits" of the City:
1. Lots 1, 14, 15 and 16 in Block 6, Original Townsite;
2. All lots in Blocks 9, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16, Original Townsite;
3. All lots between Main Street and the alley in Block 17, Original Townsite;
4. All lots between Main Street and the alley in Block 18, Original Townsite;
5. All lots between Main Street and the alley in Block 27, Original Townsite; and
6. All lots between Main Street and the alley in Block 28, Original Townsite.
B. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to build, erect, construct or cause to be built, erected or constructed, or place or move within the area described in subsection A of this section, any building or addition thereto, unless the walls of such building or addition shall be built or constructed of stone, brick or other noncombustible material. It shall also be unlawful to rebuild any building which has been more than fifty percent (50%) destroyed by fire, except as herein stated. (2007 Code § 4-101)
