1-10-7: TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS BUREAU:
   A.   Bureau Established: A Traffic Violations Bureau is hereby established as a division of the Office of the Clerk of the Court, to be administered by said Clerk, or by designated subordinates. (2007 Code § 11-16)
   B.   Paying Fine To Bureau:
      1.   Persons who are cited for violation of any of the Traffic Ordinances of the City, other than the following, may elect to pay a fine in the Traffic Violations Bureau:
         a.   DUI or DWI.
         b.   Leaving the scene of an accident.
         c.   Reckless driving.
         d.   Violation of financial responsibility requirements.
         e.   Driver's license offenses, e.g., driving under suspended or revoked license.
         f.   Eluding an officer.
      2.   Fine amounts shall be set by resolution. Fines do not include court costs that may be assessed, CLEET fees, forensic fees, AFIS fees or any other fees that may be imposed. (2007 Code § 11-16; amd. 2019 Code)
   C.   Final Determination; Failure To Pay Fine: The court may adopt further rules to implement this section. Payment of a fine under this section shall constitute a final determination of the case against the defendant. If a defendant who has elected to pay a fine under this section fails so to do, prosecution shall proceed under other provisions of this chapter. (2007 Code § 11-16)
