The City Attorney, or a duly designated assistant, shall be the prosecuting officer of the Municipal Court, and shall be authorized to prosecute all alleged violations of the ordinances of the City, and to prosecute and resist appeals and proceedings in error and review from the court to any other courts of the State. The Municipal Attorney shall also be authorized to represent the City in all proceedings arising out of matters of the court (see section 1-9-3 of this title). (2007 Code § 11-14)
