5-1-5: REMEDIES AGAINST PUBLIC AND PRIVATE NUISANCES:
   A.   Public Nuisances: The possible remedies against a public nuisance include, but are not limited to:
      1.   Reporting the offense to the City Code Enforcement Officer who will investigate and order the appropriate remedy;
      2.   Prosecution on complaint before the Municipal Court;
      3.   Prosecution on information or indictment before another appropriate court;
      4.   Civil action; and
      5.   Abatement:
         a.   By the person injured, as provided in 50 Oklahoma Statutes section 12, as amended; and/or
         b.   By the City in accordance with law or ordinance.
   B.   Private Nuisances: The possible remedies against private nuisances include, but are not limited to:
      1.   Civil action; and
      2.   Abatement:
         a.   By the person injured as provided in 50 Oklahoma Statutes sections 14 and 15, as amended; and
         b.   By the City in accordance with law or ordinance. (Ord. 02062017-2, 2-6-2017)
