9-7-1: POOL ESTABLISHED:
Whereas, pursuant to a quit claim deed dated April 16, 1973, and duly recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Iroquois County, Illinois, the American Legion Post Number 23, a not for profit corporation, organized and existing under the laws of the State of Illinois, and Melvin Muller, Donald W. Pursley, Eugene Barragree, Virgil Busby, James E. Pickens, Donald D. Pew, Lonnie N. Cluver, Howard E. Williams, and James J. Thomison, Trustees of the Community Swimming Pool, appointed pursuant to the provisions of a deed of trust dated July 6, 1953, and recorded in book 819 at page 266 of the records of the Recorder of Iroquois County, Illinois, conveyed to the City of Watseka, the facilities of the Community Swimming Pool operated theretofore by the grantors; and
Whereas, by ordinance duly adopted on March 13, 1973, by the Iroquois County Board of the County of Iroquois and State of Illinois, and thereafter by a quit claim deed executed on its behalf by its Chair and County Clerk, the Board did convey to the City of Watseka all interest which the Iroquois County Board had in and to the facilities of the Community Swimming Pool; and
Whereas, all said conveyances were made to the City of Watseka for the purpose of the Community Swimming Pool being operated by the City as a Municipal Swimming Pool; and
Whereas, thereafter by resolution duly adopted, the City Council of the City of Watseka did accept the conveyance of the facilities of the Community Swimming Pool as a Municipal Swimming Pool, there is hereby established in and for the City of Watseka, Illinois, pursuant to the authority of the Statutes of the State of Illinois, a Municipal Swimming Pool for the City, which swimming pool shall be operated on the following described real estate:
A tract of land in Lot 4 of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and in Lot I of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 5, Township 26 North, Range 12 West of the Second Principal Meridian in Iroquois County, Illinois, said lots being shown on plat recorded in Surveyor's Record Book 2, Page 276, in the Iroquois County Records, said tract described as beginning at a boulder at the Northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 5; thence South 14'-05' West 200.00 feet to an iron pin; thence South 420-291-30" West 110.34 feet to an iron pin; thence South 74'-54' West 164.45 feet to an iron pin; thence North 12'-53' West 257.77 feet to an iron pin; thence North 76'-56'-30" East 147.73 feet to an iron pin; thence North 1'-51' West 227.38 feet to an iron pin; thence South 89'-55' East 199.52 feet to a PK nail on the East line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 5; thence South 1'-00' East on the East line 193.53 feet to the point of beginning, containing a total area of 2.561 Acres, more or less, in Iroquois County Illinois.
