7-9-1: DISCHARGE OF WEAPONS:

No person in the City shall discharge any firearm or airgun, BB gun, or any toy gun, projecting lead or any missiles excepting in a regularly established shooting gallery; provided, that this section shall not be construed to prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his duty nor any citizen from discharging a firearm when lawfully defending his or her person or property.
