7-2-3: DAMAGE OR REMOVAL OF PROPERTY:
No person in the City shall:
   A.   Wilfully, maliciously, wantonly, negligently or otherwise injure, deface, destroy or remove real property or improvements thereto, or moveable or personal property, belonging to the City or to any person in the City.
   B.   Tamper with, injure, deface, destroy or remove any sign, notice, marker, fire alarm box, fire plug, topographical survey monument or any other personal property erected or placed by the City.

   C.   Mar, injure, destroy or deface, or aid in injuring, destroying, or defacing, in the City, any public or private property, or cause to be posted or stuck, any handbill or placard upon any public or private building, or upon any fence or other property within the City without the permission from the owner or occupant first obtained; or mar, injure, destroy or deface, or cause to be marred, destroyed, injured or defaced, any bridge, fence, tree, street sign, awning, lamppost, electric light post, or apparatus or any other property not belonging to the person so offending, whether public or private.

   D.   Cut, mar, deface, destroy, injure or interfere with any electric light, or lamp, pole, post, signs, rope or wire, dynamo, engine or machinery belonging to the City. (1980 Code § 53-21)
   E.   Wilfully, maliciously or wantonly tear, deface or mutilate or by any other means injure any book, pamphlet, map, chart, painting, picture, building, fence, shrubbery, shade or ornamental tree, grounds or works belonging to any public or school library, or take and carry away any property belonging to any public or school library with the intention of converting the property to his own use.
