6-1-6: POWERS AND DUTIES OF DEPARTMENT:
   A.   The several members of the Police Department shall have all powers as may be authorized by law, or which are incidental thereto, including the power of arrest.
   B.   All members of the Police Department shall devote their time to the discharge of their duties, according to the provisions of this Code and the rules and regulations as the Chief of Police, City Council, and Board of Fire and Police Commissioners may adopt and prescribe.
   C.   It shall be the duty of each member of the Police Department to preserve order, preserve peace and quiet, and enforce the law.
   D.   It shall be the duty of every member of the Police Department to report to the Chief of Police at such times and places as he may require, and at all times obey the orders and instructions of the Chief of Police.
