9-9-12: ADOPTER RESPONSIBILITIES:

A caretaker of a lot shall have the following duties and responsibilities with respect to such lot:

   A.   Comply with the terms and conditions of the program agreement;

   B.   Provide year-round maintenance of the adopted lot in a neat, clean, and attractive manner;

   C.   Comply with the City of Watseka Municipal Code with respect to the lot in the same manner as if the caretaker had legal title, and exclusive possession and control thereof;

   D.   Comply with this chapter;

   E.   Comply with any deed restriction recorded against and imposed upon the lot;

   F.   Comply with all orders, directives, rules and regulations of the City, the IEPA, and/or FEMA regarding the use or improvement of land acquired through flood hazard mitigation grant programming; and,

   G.   Notify the City not less than thirty (30) days before losing its status as owner-occupant of the real property identified on its application.
